Silicom Denmark Social and Environmental Management System
The purpose of the Silicom Denmark Social and Environmental Management System (in the future referred to as FS&EMS) is to ensure that Silicom Denmark conducts business in accordance with the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) Code of Conduct (CoC) as well as adheres to all local legislation.

Policy for review and update of FS&EMS
To ensure the FS&EMS stays updated and relevant, a review process is scheduled yearly. This happens in the month of August. Updates and corrections to the FS&EMS should be implemented before the years end. In Silicom Denmark the CEO is responsible for the review and follow up processes. For each review conducted a report is produced with the findings as well as a correction plan. The report is published with this FS&EMS together with any regulatory penalties of a material nature, and the correction plan is published internally in Silicom Denmark.
Where to find this information
The current version of FS&EMS is published on the Silicom Denmark homepage under the section “About Us”. All internal information regarding FS&EMS together with other practical information for employees is published in the internal “Employee handbook” available to all Silicom Denmark employees. All Silicom Denmark new hires are trained in the FS&EMS, the “Employee handbook” as well as other practical information necessary to conduct their job. Updates to the FS&EMS or the “Employee handbook” will be communicated to all employees via mail or bulletin board.
Goals for environmental impact
Silicom Denmark is adhering to all Danish national and municipal environmental laws with regards to recycling waste, conserving energy and reducing greenhouse gases emission. Further to this all Silicom Denmark products are clearly marked for end-of-life disposal.
Silicom Denmark is using a mandatory municipal waste disposal arrangement, further augmenting this arrangement ensuring widest possible reuse of paper, cardboard, batteries and electronics. Working together with the municipal and state owned recycling agencies in Denmark, Silicom Denmark has a policy of reducing its waste generation per employee with 2% per year.
Silicom Denmark leases space in a multi-tenant building where energy use is not separately metered and billed. However Silicom Denmark has a policy of reducing its energy consumption per employee with 2% per year. All new devices acquired must be more energy efficient than those devices it replaces, and all new devices acquired must be of highest energy efficiency class. Silicom Denmark will not contribute with any direct emissions of greenhouse gases.
Silicom Denmark commits to cascade its requirements for adhering to the EICC CoC to its suppliers where work performed is material to Silicom Denmark products. Status is probed during the review phase of the FS&EMS.
